• Steam scammers replace indie game with Helldivers 2 assets to trick users

    Two indie games recently had their store pages altered to imitate the newly released Helldivers 2 in order to try and scam users.

    The two games Figurality by Bside Studio and DO NOT SMILE by Fest Studio replaced all of their images and text in order to replicate the actual Helldivers 2 Steam page.


    You can check out the changes for yourself on SteamDB.

    You can check the original developers pages which are still on Steam. In particular Fest Studios has whole roster of what appear to be low-effort indie games all with prices exceeding $54.99. These are speculatively pages intended for future scams, as some users are noticing.

    Helldivers II is available now for Windows PC (via Steam) and PlayStation 5.
