Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Still on Track, Now Led by Former God of War Director

We’ve learned the Electronic Arts-produced Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is still on track for release, alongside a few new tidbits on the game.

The news comes via the game’s official website (also via The Verge) where the publisher has confirmed the game is still on track for a holiday 2019 release.

Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson had this to say about the project:

“It’s very far along in development, and having spent time with it recently myself, it plays spectacularly well. This game truly captures the fantasy of becoming a Jedi, and we will have a lot more to share soon.”

Furthermore, we’ve learned former God of War 3 director Stig Asmussen is heading the team developing the game, at Respawn Entertainment.

After Wilson played a 20 minute demo of the game, he stated “It is exceptional in terms of its level of polish depth and living inside of the star wars world as a Jedi.”

Further details weren’t confirmed. In related news, Respawn Entertainment launched a free-to-play Titanfall-spinoff titled Apex Legends. You can read more about that here.
