Square Enix has once again thanked fans for the continued success of Octopath Traveler. However, one particular show of gratitude hints the next Bravely Default game is in the works.
Square Enix’s Twitter account BDFF_Official is for Square Enix Business Division 11. It is part of the company that involved with Octopath Traveler, the Bravely Default games, and some Final Fantasy titles.
That Twitter account recently posted the above image with the following:
We’ve already announced it, but…
\Octopath Traveler, 1 million units shipped! /
Thank you!
Now, now…
Please look forward to the next Square-Enix 11 BD games m_ _m

The silhouette of a fairy heavily suggest the next Bravely Default game is in the works. Developed by Silicon Studio, the last title in the series was 2016’s Bravely Second: End Layer. Whether the next title in the series would be “Bravely Third”, or something else remains unknown at this point.
Octopath Traveler is out now on Switch. In case you missed it, you can find our thorough review here. (We highly recommend it!)
