Soft Source Publishing and developer Wala Interactive have announced Spook-A-Boo, a new cooperative ghost hunting adventure game.
Spook-A-Boo is in development for Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PS5. A release is set for later in 2026 and a demo is out now on Steam.
“Spook-A-Boo isn’t just about catching ghosts, it’s a love letter to the era of gaming when multiplayer meant plugging in a second controller (or three!) and crowding around the TV,” producer and Wala Interactive co-founder Megha Gupta said in a press release. “This demo is closer to our final vision and a slice of what you can expect before the full game ships later in the year. We hope you have as much fun playing it as we had making it.”
Soft Source Publishing publishing director Sameer Pandit added, “After playing Spook-A-Boo and talking to the team behind it, we instinctively felt it was a right fit for Soft Source’s mission: to surface the best Asian games to the world. We can’t wait to share more in the lead up to launch.”

Spook-A-Boo is a 3D ghost hunting couch co-op game for up to 4 players. The players have to locate, reveal and capture a diverse cast of hidden ghosts as they cause mayhem all around the levels.
The ghosts and the levels themselves are designed to sow chaos, encouraging communication and collaboration among players. Devising an optimal strategy is key to catch all the ghosts in every level before the timer runs out and the ghosts escape.
