• Sony launches new PS5 promo with Jrock band King Gnu

    Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan has launched a new promotion and commercial for the PS5 with none other than Japanese rock band King Gnu.

    The new promo and commercial features King Gnu’s new song/single, “):Asura:(“, while also featuring all four members of the band as the four PlayStation controller buttons:


    Daiki Tsuneta (guitar, vocals, frontman) as Circle, Yu Seki (drums, sampling) as Triangle, Kazuki Arai (bass) as X, and Satoru Iguchi (vocals, keyboards) as Square. All four members team up and go beyond their limits to become “Giant Gnu (wildebeast in Japanese).”

    Fans in Japan will be able to see the new promo from now until November 30th in 20 locations including Harajuku and Shibuya.
