A new report has confirmed yet another star for Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie – none other than Keanu Reeves, who is stepping into the role of Shadow the Hedgehog.

The news that Keanu will star as Sonic’s arch-nemesis Shadow comes hot on the heels of last week’s CinemaCon, where Paramount Pictures reportedly (via Hollywood Reporter) showed off a first look at the movie.

The first footage for their Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie reportedly showed off Jim Carrey returning as Dr. Robotnik, depressed and out of shape after the events of the second film. However, Robotnik gets his mojo back after creating Shadow the Hedgehog, which (SPOILERS) the second film teased post-credits.

The hotly-anticipated Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie is set to premiere on December 20th, 2024, just in time for Christmas.
