As we reported on last month, the fan-created Skyrim mod that remakes Morrowind, amusingly titled “Skywind”, has been slowly trickling out new media and updates as it progresses. The latest post, a nearly 12-minute long development video, shows off the architecture of Morrowind (namely the Ghostgate), and also asks those interested in the project to submit their own artwork or voice-over work for the project.
Much of what is shown is concept work, but it’s easy to see how far they’ve come in so little time. For those unhappy with the more traditional environments in Skyrim, or those who pine away for the days of overgrown mushrooms and half-naked ashlanders running at you through volcanic valleys, Skywind looks to be an old-school Elder Scrolls fan’s dream come true.
While there is no demo or even a partially completed build to walk around in yet, it does seem like the team behind the game is serious about completing this mammoth-sized project. (Or is that silt-strider-sized?) Although Skywind isn’t the only “Re-making” of Morrowind going on, it seems to be the best supported.
