We’ve known Skyrim: Anniversary Edition is adding a new fishing mini-game, however now Bethesda has announced Skyrim is getting fish tanks as well, via the new anniversary update.
While Skyrim is getting fish tanks, the new aquariums for your newly caught fish will only be available for the game’s Hearthfire homes, namely the do-it-yourself manors you can build in various parts of the game’s world.
Details are scant from that ten second teaser Bethesda posted on their Twitter account, we can already tell there will be options to mix and match different fish, as well as decorate each tank differently with decor and plants. There’s also seemingly new fish trophies, just in case you want to proudly show off that massive catch you landed.
It’s surprising that Bethesda has managed to provide new content in the new anniversary update with fish tanks where the modding community hasn’t offered much. It’s been nearly a decade since the game has come out and fans have added a ton – even standalone spinoffs built within the Skyrim game engine.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is available on Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One. Skyrim: Anniversary Edition and its new anniversary update are set to launch on November 11th, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
