Skullgirls allegedly delisted on Xbox 360 after censorship patch

It was discovered on social media the original Skullgirls has seemingly been delisted on the Xbox 360 following the release of a censorship patch.

Skullgirls 2nd Encore was recently censored to remove “offensive depictions” and “sexualizations” of its female characters. The game was censored previously to have the exposed pantsu removed a couple years ago, as well as Valentine’s crosses.

Social media users realized that the original build of the game has since been delisted for the Xbox 360:

Critics have seen this as a way of preventing players from ever playing the original, uncensored form of the game (even though the Xbox 360 version was allegedly still subjected to the pantsu censorship).

Others believe the game was delisted because it was old tech that couldn’t be worked on to implement any new updates. The updated and censored 2nd Encore version is available on Xbox One, though.

Skullgirls 2nd Encore is available now on PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and smartphones.
