New Sega rumors are making the rounds online after an insider previously leaked footage from the upcoming Jet Set Radio reboot from an internal Q&A session.
The leaker replied to questions about several unannounced projects like the aforementioned Jet Set Radio reboot and more.
Perhaps the biggest claim is that the new Crazy Taxi will launch before the highly anticipated Jet Set Radio revival. The leaker also says a larger trailer for Jet Set Radio is currently in development and that players can expect to meet a brand-new character named Sierra when the game eventually arrives.
Sonic fans may have something to look forward to as well. According to the insider, Sega is planning multiple Sonic announcements this year, including the debut of what they describe as a significantly improved character model. While rumors of Sonic crossing over with Fortnite continue to circulate, the leaker admitted they aren’t confident enough to confirm those reports.
The claims didn’t stop there. The insider also mentioned a new Ace Attorney announcement for this year, a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Metaphor: ReFantazio, a new Puyo Puyo game planned for 2027, and even Phantasy Star Online 3 allegedly being in development. They also suggested Persona could be heading to Fortnite and gave a mysterious “kinda” response when asked whether Persona 6 features a female protagonist.
As always, it’s worth remembering that none of these claims have been officially confirmed by Sega, Capcom, Atlus, or any of the companies involved. Still, because this source previously leaked legitimate Jet Set Radio material, fans are paying close attention. With Summer Game Fest just around the corner, we may not have to wait long to find out which of these rumors turn out to be real.
