Sega of America Names Ian Curran as New COO and President

Sega of America and Atlus U.S.A. have announced a new change up in their upper management.

Effective today, Ian Curran has been appointed as Sega of America’s new Chief Operating Officer and President.


Curran will be handling all available resources to secure maximum profits with the publishing of the Sonic the Hedgehog business units in the Americas, Europe, and the rest of the world, as well as serving a position on the board for Atlus USA.

Ian will report directly to Tatsuyuki Miyazaki, the CEO of Sega West, while also working with Sega’s employees across their offices in Irvine, Burbank, and London.

Curran has decades of experience in the video game publishing industry, overseeing the expansion of revenue and the cutting of costs. His pedigree includes work at companies like THQ, Gioteck, and even Acclaim Entertainment.
