• Samurai Shodown rollback netcode beta launches in January 2023 for PC

    SNK Corporation has announced the rollback netcode beta for Samurai Shodown is coming to PC in January 2023.

    The open beta for rollback netcode is coming sometime in January 2023 for PC (via Steam) first, then it will roll out to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PS4. The game’s Switch version wasn’t listed, but will likely get the network functionality when it fully launches later.


    As covered in our previous report, Code Mystics will handle implementing the new netcode, which is based on the netcode already used by The King of Fighters XV.

    Samurai Shodown has been available for Windows PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Google Stadia.
