SaGa series creator Akitoshi Kawazu revealed the next game is in development, and his desire to bring more older titles to modern systems.
Famitsu reports that among the various topics discussed during a recent Square Enix livestream, Kawazu discussed how players could unlock the Fuse campaign (by completing any character’s campaign), and how the secret developer room remained in the Remaster.
He also discussed how players can obtain the protagonists from their own campaigns into Fuse’s story, how the Junkyard infinite scrap exploit remained, and how cut content from Emelia’s campaign was added.
The livestream concluded with Kawazu revealing a new SaGa game was in development, along with discussing how some prior games in the series had yet to appear on modern consoles; namely Romancing SaGa, SaGa Frontier 2, and Unlimted; SaGa. Kawazu explained “We’re thinking of somehow releasing those titles so that everyone can play them at any time.” (translation: DeepL)
