Last year, Microsoft debuted their own kind of Direct where they announced numerous projects and gave new information on previously announced titles. This also included a surprise release of the also surprise hit, Hi-Fi Rush.

Now a new rumor (via Insider Gaming) claims that they’ll be running it again and doing another Developer Direct this month, as they did last year.

According to the rumor mill, the upcoming direct will either be airing either between January 15-19, or specifically on January 25th.

If it actually happens, there will naturally be new announcements for games coming to Xbox. Of course this is all rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Considering how successful their debut direct was, along with the fact that more publishers are embracing this style to announce their upcoming games, it’s likely Xbox would be continuing what hopes to be a more consistent tradition.

Perhaps they might even surprise many with yet another surprise launch of a game. They might confirm what has been rumored thus far, such as the revamp of their achievement system.
