“Key developers” have already got their hands on kits for the next Nintendo system to follow the Switch; at least according to some sources.
VGC reported that, development kits have already made it into the hands of some developers in order to have a lineup of games prepared for when the system launches.
When is the new Nintendo system launching? If the sources are right, sometime in 2024. It’s a vague answer but with no real news on a Switch successor for years it’s about time for the next big Nintendo console.
For some context, the Wii U released in 2012 and the Nintendo Switch came out in 2017. Similarly the Wii came out in 2006 and the GameCube in 2001. Nintendo has set a precedent for a new system approximately every 5 to 6 years, meaning we’re close to overdue.
