DarkSeas Games haven’t published an update for their Kickstarter-funded Road Rash-throwback, Road Redemption, since last December.

Now, the developer has finally made an update and outlined their roadmap to the game’s full release, which they’re saying should actually happen sometime towards the end of this summer.

The game has been in development since its successful Kickstarter, three years ago, to which it has received a multitude of updates as it has been available in Steam Early Access.

In the new update, DarkSeas have listed what they’re focused on getting ready for the game’s full release:

  • Improved bike driving and physics
  • Revamped enemy AI
  • Entirely new user interface
  • New weapon upgrade system
  • Unlockable bikes and riders
  • Better missions with greater variety
  • Story Integration
  • Updated levels with more routes to drive
  • Improved visuals of enemies and vehicles
  • Several new enemy types including challenging late level enemies
  • Boss fights
  • Splitscreen co-op improvements
  • Online multiplayer!

“Our current plan is to finish development of the PC version by the end of this summer,” DarkSeas said in the update. “As we march toward that goal, we’ll be releasing several new builds on Steam Early Access to show everyone our progress. This will include a beta version of online multiplayer.”
