Japanese developer Sting has announced a western release for their Riviera: The Promised Land remaster on Nintendo Switch.
The classic Japanese RPG is getting a worldwide release for the hybrid console on November 28th, 2024, via the eShop.
Their new remaster for Riviera: The Promised Land was originally released for Switch in Japan back in February 2024 and in June for smartphones. It got a worldwide release for Windows PC (via Steam) in July.
Riviera: The Promised Land was originally released for the WonderSwan Color in Japan back in 2002 and was essentially remade for the later Game Boy Advance release, in 2004. It was then released in the west for GBA in 2005 and later got ported to the PlayStation Portable in 2006.

Story

On the way, Ursula, the guardian of the Riviera, appears and is thwarted by the Grim Angels’ intrusion. Ein, whose memories were sealed by Ursula’s attack, wakes up in Elendia, where the spirits live…
