Riviera: The Promised Land remaster launches for Switch in February

Riviera: The Promised Land remaster

Japanese developer Sting has announced a release date for Riviera: The Promised Land on Nintendo Switch, their remaster of the classic RPG.

Riviera: The Promised Land is launching for Nintendo Switch on February 28th in Japan – news confirmed in the latest Famitsu (via Ryokutya2089).

The new high-definition remaster is the first in their new “Dept.Heaven” series of releases, although the term “remaster” was curiously dropped from its title.

Riviera: The Promised Land was originally released for the WonderSwan Color in Japan back in 2002 and was essentially remade for the later Game Boy Advance release, in 2004. It was then released in the west for GBA in 2005 and later got ported to the PlayStation Portable in 2006.
