Rise of Mana is Adding the Heroes of Final Fantasy IV, New Mana Game Coming

Previously, we confirmed that Rise of Mana was adding the heroes of Secret of Mana as playable characters. Now, we’ve learned that Square is adding even more characters, only now they’re from the classic Final Fantasy IV.

Featured above, you can view a new trailer showcasing protagonist Cecil, alongside Kain and even Golbez. Rise of Mana producer Masaru Oyamada also gave us a tease for a new Mana game, in an interview with 4Gamer:

“2016 is the 25th anniversary for the Mana series, so I think it will be a year with us preparing lots of things. We’re trying to work hard so that we have something to show for everyone that is waiting for a new game.”

Oyamada did previously say that he wants to make a new retail Mana game, within the next two years.

Reminds me of when Cecil from FFIV popped up in Secret of Evermore.
