REYNATIS launches playable demo ahead of release

REYNATIS

Publisher NIS America and developer Natsume Atari have announced a playable demo for REYNATIS, their modern and dark magic RPG.

The new playable demo for REYNATIS is now available for PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch (via the eShop), and both PS4 and PS5 (via the PlayStation Store).

Here’s a rundown on the demo, plus a new trailer:

Experience REYNATIS’ dual perspectives as they play through the opening chapters as main characters Marin Kirizumi and Sari Nishijima.

Marin Kirizumi

Marin is a 19-year-old college student. He came into his magic at the age of 14, after a car accident put him on the verge of death. Since then, he has grown up surrounded by oppression, unable to live freely due to being a wizard. In order to free himself from this oppression and obtain freedom, he aims to become the “strongest wizard that no one can defeat.” To do so, he travels to Shibuya, following the words left behind by his father.

Sari Nishijima

Previously a police officer. She was attacked and seriously injured by a monster in Shibuya during the spring of 2021. She awakened as a replica while on the verge of death, and soon joined the M.E.A. Now, she works as an officer of the M.E.A.’s Magic Task Force. Those around her seek to use her image for recruitment, but she is opposed to this role.

About REYNATIS

REYNATIS is an action RPG set in the painstakingly-recreated streets of Shibuya, Tokyo. In a world where fantasy meets reality, the citizens of Shibuya fear magic and the power it holds, forcing wizards to conceal their inhuman abilities or face oppression. Conceal your magic to explore the city as a regular civilian and shop or take on quests, or use your explosive powers to reach new locations and battle those who stand in your way. Fight for what you believe in in this stylish, spellbinding RPG from director TAKUMI and featuring music by Yoko Shimomura!

REYNATIS is set to launch on September 27th in the west across Windows PC (via Steam), Switch, PS4, and PS5. The Japanese release came in July.
