MSI MAG-323UPF Monitor Review

Over the last month, we have been taking the time to put the MSI MAG-323UPF monitor to the test and see how well it can hold up to some of the toughest of games. For this review, we used an IBUYPOWER Gaming PC utilizing an Intel® Core i9-13900KF CPU and a GeForce RTX 4070 12GB.

Throughout the month, we tested the MSI MAG-323UPF with a number of games, including: Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Ghostwire Tokyo, Fortnite, Valorant, Cyberpunk 2077, League of Legends, and Halo Infinite.

For each of these games, we set the game’s settings to the maximum settings possible. Before using this MSI monitor, I didn’t realize how many details I was missing from each of these games.

Features’ Impressions

While we were playing through Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, we utilized an LG OLED TV to compare the textures and graphics within the game. Although the game looked beautiful on an LG TV, the graphics and high-resolution details of Avatar‘s environment felt like we were stepping right into the Avatar movies.

The visual experience was beautiful and breathtaking and we wanted to explore the environment to look at all the details that we missed before. Despite the monitor having a high refresh rate and a 1 ms GtG Response time, Avatar‘s settings still gave the monitor a run for its money.

While playing throughout the day, we never came across a moment where we had to adjust the screen brightness or position; this is all thanks to the monitor’s anti-glare surface treatment to give us the most vibrant gaming experience possible and reflect blinding sunlight. Despite the monitor being smaller than the TV, the enhanced settings created a more impactful gaming experience that kept our attention.

Product Specifications Impression

Below we are including the MSI MAG 323UPF Monitor Product Details. In all honesty, unless you need something very specific, it is very easy to overlook all the amazing details and technology MSI has put into the monitor.

Just in the back of the monitor alone, there are 10 connection ports that support USB A & B, Type C, 3.5mm Audiojack, and HDMI. All these ports make it super easy to connect the monitor to another monitor or splitter to use multiple monitors. During our time with it, we decided to no longer use three monitors and instead only use two.

The monitor is fairly sturdy and easy to set up. Upon taking it out of the box, we were able to set it up within five minutes; the majority of that time was spent looking for the screwdrivers.

On one occasion, the monitor fell over due to being positioned on something unlevel and my cat going behind it and rubbing against it. When it fell over, I was certain that it was going to be broken but it was perfectly fine; this is thanks to the monitor’s solid frame and the overall quality of the product.

MSI MAG 323UPF Verdict

At the end of the day, the MSI MAG 323UPF monitor not only exceeded my expectations, it blew them away. At Summer Game Fest, we previewed the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9, when comparing our time with that vs the MSI MAG 323UPF, the MSI MAG 323UPF monitor wins with a better picture quality but doesn’t offer some of the same amenities.

At the end of the day, it comes down to what you are looking for in a monitor. If you are looking for smart technology that connects to the internet, you can go with Samsung; if you are looking for a beautiful display that will take your breath away, then it is better to go with the MSI MAG 323UPF.

With its fast refresh rate, graphic-enhancing settings, and anti-glare surface, you will get the best picture quality no matter what game you play at any point in the day.

The monitor does take up a bit of space but the picture quality of this one monitor exceeds the output of two 19-inch monitors. If you are in the market for a new monitor and want amazing picture quality then you should look into the MSI MAG 323UPF. For the overall quality, it exceeds other monitors in the market for the same price.
