The previously announced Return to Silent Hill film, based on the popular horror game franchise, has officially cast their two leads.
Jeremy Irvine (War Horse, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, The Railway Man) will be assuming the role of main character James Sutherland.
Meanwhile, Hannah Emily Anderson (Jigsaw, X-Man: Dark Phoenix) will be the female lead as Maria.
These two will star in the movie based on Silent Hill 2, the video game which is also set to get a remake by Bloober Team later this year. In the story, James heads to the town of Silent Hill after getting a letter from his deceased wife, Mary.
However, the town is not like it was the last time he was there with her. Monsters roam the streets and as he meets new and familiar faces, James will learn the truth about himself.
Alongside this announcement, Return to Silent Hill is already reportedly filming. Meanwhile, the Silent Hill 2 Remake is set to launch on Windows PC (via Steam) and PlayStation 5 (as a console exclusive, for a year) later this year.
