Despite fans still clamoring for a proper third game in the series, it seems like Respawn Entertainment is too busy for Titanfall 3, noting they’re working on too many other games currently.
“I’ve said this before, we don’t have anything in the works,” Respawn Entertainment community coordinator Jason Garza said in the interview (via Dexterto).
He added, “There’s nothing there. We’ve got too many other games in the works right now.”
Despite the news that Respawn Entertainment is too busy for Titanfall 3, demand for a proper new Titanfall game is so great that a DDoS attack was launched against Apex Legends to “save Titanfall,” making the game unplayable for hours on end.
A comment during the livestream said fans should give up on Titanfall “ever getting fixed,” to which Garza said Respawn is still working on previous games in the series. Garza said that Respawn is “still working on the current situation, but as always, can’t really telegraph those moves publicly.”
Back in early 2019, Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment announced Apex Legends, a hero shooter battle royale game set in the Titanfall universe. While fans of the traditional Titanfall experience from the first two games were upset, EA promise they were working on a proper new Titanfall game.
Fast-forward a few months later, both EA and Respawn already confirmed they put development on the next Titanfall game on hold to focus purely on Apex Legends.
