Red Dead Redemption comes to Nintendo Switch and PS4

Red Dead Redemption

A port of Red Dead Redemption for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 will be coming this month.

The new port will also include the Undead Nightmare stand-alone expansion.

Rockstar announced the port on the official blog for the game saying:

Experience the epic Western adventure Red Dead Redemption and its groundbreaking zombie-horror companion, Undead Nightmare, as both games come to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 for the very first time in a single package. In a new conversion by Double Eleven Studios, the Switch and PS4 versions bring the two classic experiences together again for both new players and original fans to enjoy across modern consoles, including backwards compatibility with the PlayStation 5.

The original Red Dead Redemption came out back in 2010 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A sequel, Red Dead Redemption 2 came out in 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.

It’s worth mentioning that there’s still no official PC port for Red Dead Redemption, despite Rockstar Games filing a lawsuit against a previous fanmade PC version of the game.

Red Dead Redemption has been available on the Xbox One for years thanks to backwards compatibility.

Red Dead Redemption will be available on the Nintendo eShop and PlayStation store beginning August 17. Physical releases are coming this October.
