Recent Skull and Bones leaks show little progress

Skull and Bones

One Reddit user has posted some allegedly recent screenshots taken from a current build of Ubisoft’s Skull and Bones.

According to Insider Gaming and one Reddit user, Skull and Bones has seemingly had little progress from when Ubisoft last showed it off in 2023. In the years since the game was announced it’s been beset by constant delays.

However the screenshots shown in the Reddit thread here show nothing new. Granted there isn’t much in these screenshots but after Ubisoft recently said they were “very happy” with progress on the game you would expect to see more.

From the get-go, Skull and Bones remains an ambitious project to provide naval combat and piratical adventures. While it seems little progress has been made in recent months, we have been able to see gameplay footage and what looks like finished gameplay in livestreams that the company has hosted.

If you prefer your pirate adventures more silly and exciting (and most of all actually released) then check out our review of Sea of Thieves.

Skull and Bones is set to launch sometime before the end of 2024 across Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store, the Ubisoft Store), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
