Due to popular demand, Granzella has announced a second crowdfunding campaign for R-Type Final 2.

The new campaign will launch tomorrow, October 1st at 9 AM Eastern, and run through November 1st at the same time. Featured above, you can view the latest gameplay for the shoot ’em up.

The original Kickstarter campaign saw over 8,000 backers and raised 98.8 million yen (roughly $914,000 USD). Despite this, when the company showcased the game at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, they repeatedly got told that the “campaign had ended before I knew it” and “I wanted a reward”, and so on. Thus, the company decided to run a second campaign through their website with PayPal as the only method payment.

The stretch goals, which are meant to increase the overall quality of the game and the amount of content, will carry over from the Kickstarter campaign. Granzella will add the funds from this campaign to the previous one, to hit more stretch goals.

R-Type Final 2 is currently in development for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch with a projected release window of December 2020.
