Quantum Break leaves Xbox Game Pass but Remedy says it’ll return soon

Quantum Break

While games come and go from Xbox Game Pass, one delisting that caught many by surprise was Quantum Break, as this was a console exclusive published by Microsoft themselves.

Quantum Break was an action shooter developed by Remedy, best known for their work on Alan Wake and Max Payne, which released back in 2016. It was a console exclusive for the Xbox One, though it is also available on PC.

Many spoke out on this delisting, which prompted an update by Remedy stating this would only be temporary. Apparently the reason for it being delisted from the service was due to expiring licenses that “were in the process of being renewed.”

So the game will be making a return, presumably soon, as these license issues get dealt with.

It’s unknown what licensing would need to be handled with when it comes to Quantum Break, which would be a different situation than the Forza series being delisted due to music or car license deals expiring.

Quantum Break is available now for Xbox One and PC (via Steam and Microsoft Store). Just not on Game Pass for the time being.
