    PS5 Shipments Top 7.8 Million Units

    PS5 shipments top 7.8 million units while PS4 shipments break 115.9 million units, Sony has announced in their latest financial report today.

    The new report (via Games Jouhou) notes worldwide PS5 shipments top 7.8 million units since the console launched in November of last year, and that Sony exceeded their initial forecast of 7.6 million units.


    Combined software sales on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 have topped 165.6 million copies. A total of 109 million PlayStation Network users were reported as of March 2021, and there are 47.6 million PlayStation Plus members.
