NWay have revealed gameplay for Chun-Li in Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid; assuming her role as the Blue Phoenix Ranger.
As previously reported, Lord Zedd’s actions have weakened the Morphin Grid, and is breaking down the walls between realities. Now Chun-Li finds herself in a new world, along with a Power Coin, and the power to become the Blue Phoenix Ranger.
Her trademark Spinning Bird Kick and Hyakuretsukyaku have become even stronger thanks to her new powers. While not the focus of the new trailer, we also see Ryu again, and his Red Hawk Ranger form.
Ryu and Chun-Li had both previously appeared in Power Rangers Legacy Wars on mobile, along with the short film Power Rangers Legacy Wars – Street Fighter Showdown. In fact, the character’s designs and Power Ranger suits seem to be directly based off these designs.
The Street Fighter pack launches May 25th for $12.50 USD across all platforms, with Ryu and Chun-Li available individually for $5.99 USD. The pack will also contain exclusive skins, to be revealed at a later date.

In earlier news, an alternate costume for Ryu was also revealed. His “Angel Grove Class of ’93” outfit would make him fit right in with the classic Power Rangers TV show; complete with the other teenagers of dubious ages. This may also mean Chun-Li will get a similar costume for herself.

As previously reported, the Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid – Super Edition was announced. For $49.99 USD, it features all the game’s DLC thus far (Season passes one, two, and three), along with the Street Fighter Pack and 4 bonus character skins. Those who already own the game will also be able to purchase Upgrade Kits to the Super Edition.
