Ryu and Chun-Li Announced for Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid; All-DLC Super Edition Launches May 25

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid Ryu Chun-Li

NWay have announced Ryu and Chun-Li from Street Fighter are coming to Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, along with a Super Edition.

As stated in the press release, Lord Zedd’s actions have weakened the Morphin Grid, and is breaking down the walls between realities. Now Ryu finds himself in a new world, along with a Power Coin, and the power to become the Crimson Hawk Ranger.

His Sotokan training and classic moves (with genre-defining input commands) has only been enhanced with his new powers. While not the focus of the new trailer, we also see Chun-Li, and her Blue Phoenix Ranger form.

Ryu and Chun-Li had both previously appeared in Power Rangers Legacy Wars on mobile, along with the short film Power Rangers Legacy Wars – Street Fighter Showdown. In fact, the character’s designs and Power Ranger suits seem to be directly based off these designs.

The Street Fighter pack launches May 25th for $12.50 USD across all platforms, with Ryu and Chun-Li available individually for $5.99 USD. The pack will also contain exclusive skins, to be revealed at a later date.

Those who already own the game will also be able to purchase Upgrade Kits to the Super Edition
