Pokemon live action series PokeTsume gets first trailer

PokeTsume

A trailer has dropped for the upcoming live-action Pokemon series PokeTsume.

The series follows Madoka Akagi (played by Nanase Nishino), a young woman who just moved to Tokyo to work for a company and finds herself feeling listless and homesick.

To help support her daughter, Madoka’s mother sends a care package including some of her old things. Among them is an old Game Boy and a copy of Pokemon Red.

While playing the game, Madoka appreciates parallels between the characters in the game to her own situation; seeing similarities in characters like her rival co-worker, or another who reminds her of a Magikarp just trying to get by.

You can check out the trailer for PokeTsume below.

PokeTsume is set to premiere on October 19, an English release has yet to be announced.

The latest games Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are available now on the Nintendo Switch. You can check out our review here! (Despite the bugs, we still recommend it!)
