Last month, Niantic waited until the middle of the month to unveil the June 2022 Community Day Pokemon for Pokemon Go now they’ve moved details up so we recapped the Pokemon Go July 2022 Community Day details here.
After its reveal, many Pokemon Go trainers felt that Niantic was not looking to improve Pokemon Go but rather keep with the status quo. In fact, others have accused the company of deliberately repeating basic events to make money off of players looking for anything new to do in the game. This is evident by the slow release of Mega and Legendary raids despite a variety of options to choose from.
This accusation holds some truth to it with the Ultimate Beast raids being locked behind the Pokemon Go Fest paywall. Rather than focusing on the negative aspects, let us talk about the Pokemon Go July 2022 Community Day.
July 2022 Community Day Details
The July 2022 Community Day Pokemon is Starly. Similar to the recent trend in Community days, the July 17th Community Day will only last 3 hours. The July 2022 Pokemon Go Community Day will run from 11 AM to 2 PM local time. Below is everything you should expect and can potentially purchase during the community day.
- Staraptor will learn the exclusive move Gust (25 DMG) when evolved from Staravia.
- Evolve Staravia into Staraptor between 11 AM to 7 PM to learn the exclusive move.
- 3x Catch XP
- Chance to have 4x Catch XP if enough Starly are caught.
- 2X Catch candy will be active
- 3-hour lure and incenses
- 1/4 Hatch Distance
- 2x Chance to get Starly Candy XL after each catch
- 2 Special trades and 1 seasonal trade can be made
- 50% less stardust to make trades
- Field Notes: Starly Special research will be available for 1.00 USD or equivalent
- Up to 5 Starly’s will appear from Snapshots
- New Starly stickers
- Staravia will appear in special 4-star raids.
- If Staravia is defeated, Starly will spawn for 30 minutes up to 300 meters from the gym.
- Catching enough Pokemon near a Pokestop will cause Staravia to spawn in the wild.
- A community day chest will be available
- Earn Bonus candy and XP by mega evolving a flying or normal type Pokemon such as Mega Charizard Y, Mega Kangaskhan, or Mega Pidgeot.
