Niantic has revealed the Pokemon Go January 2022 Roadmap! Find out what the PoGo January 2022 Roadmap has in store for trainers.

The new year is almost upon us and with it comes a new beginning. Gasp who would have guessed! What resolutions do you have trainers? To become the very best like no one ever was? Catch new shiny Pokemon and brag to your friends about your superiority complex?

With a week until the end of 2021 and the start of 2022, Niantic has announced the Pokemon Go January 2022 Roadmap details. What will be the new Research Breakthrough encounter and what Pokemon will appear in raids during the month of January?

Below, we will go over the PoGo January 2022 Roadmap including the special raids, breakthrough encounters, events, spotlight hours, and community day Pokemon.

The January Research Breakthrough encounter will feature Onix. Starting at 1:00 PM PDT redeem your seventh field research for the possibility of encountering a shiny Onix and get Mega Steelix Energy.

Each week, trainers can trade 1 Pokecoin for one remote raid pass. The January 2022 community day will take place on Sunday, January 16th; the January Community Day Pokemon is the Clap Pokemon Spheal.

Pokemon Go January Roadmap 2022 NYE Event

Events

New Year’s Event 2022

  • Starting on December 31st, 2021, at 10:00 PM to January 4th, 2022, at 8:00 PM, ring in the New Year with Pokemon in new costumes and snazzy new avatar items.

Mountains of Power

  • Starting on January 7th, 2022, at 10:00 AM to January 13th, 2022, at 8:00 PM, work with Spark to activate the second part of the mysterious door by journeying through terrain reminiscent of the mountains found in regions like Johto and Sinnoh.

Electric and Steel- Themed event inspired by the Kanto Power Plant

  • Starting on January 19th, 2022, at 10:00 AM to February 1st, 2022, at 10:00 AM, continue working with Spark to gather up some electrifying Pokemon to activate the final part of the mysterious door. It seems that some nefarious forces have also caught wind of the door and the power it may contain.

Pokemon Go January Roadmap 2022 Raids

Legendary Raids

The Kyurem raid will run until Friday, January 7th, 2022. The Kyurem Raid Day will take place on January 5th.

Heatran raids will run from Friday, January 7th to Saturday, January 15th, 2022. The Heatran Raid Day will take place on January 12th.

Genesect raids will start on Saturday, January 15th to Monday, January 24th, 2022. The Genesect Raid day will be on January 19th.

Finally, the Regice raids will start Monday, January 24th to Tuesday, February 1st, 2022.  The Regice Raid day will take place on January 26th.

Mega Raids

Until January 7th, 2022, Mega Abomasnow will appear in Mega Raids.

Then from Friday, January 7th to Tuesday, February 1st, 2022, Mega Aerodactyl will appear in Mega Raids.

Spotlight Hours

The Pokemon Go January 2022 Roadmap Spotlight hour Pokemon are nothing impressive. Spotlight hours take place every Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time:

  • January 4th: Solosis and grants 2x Transfer Candies. Mega Evolving Slowbro during the spotlight hour will grant additional candies.
  • January 11th: Diglet and grants 2X Stardust for catching it. Shiny Diglet will be available to encounter. Evolving Mega Steelix during the spotlight hour will grant additional candy
  • January 18th: Plusle and grants 2x candies for catching Pokemon. Shiny Plusle will be available to encounter. Evolving Mega Ampharos and Manectric during the spotlight hour will grant additional candy.
  • January 25th: Minum and grants 2x Transfer Candies. Shiny Minum will be available to encounter. Evolving Mega Ampharos and Manectric during the spotlight hour will grant additional candy.
