During Electronic Art’s E3 conference, the publisher confirmed the existence of Plants v.s. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2. The sequel continues the competitive/co-operative multiplayer arena shooter action of the first game, only this time it’s the plants invading the zombie’s world instead of the other way around.
The class-based 3rd person shooter adds one big new feature that the previous game did not, and that’s a new single player option. This new solo mode allows you to play against A.I. opponents without the need to go online, similar to fighting bots as you would in other shooters. According to EA, this was done after receiving considerable feedback from fans who asked for a single player variant of the game.
Garden Warfare 2 is due to launch next spring for both Xbox One and PC. No word yet if it’s a timed exclusive and will release on the PS4 as well.
