Planet Zoo gets axolotls, leopards, and more in new Conservation Pack DLC

Planet Zoo

Frontier Developments have released the Planet Zoo: Conservation Pack, the latest DLC pack for their popular zoo management sim.

The Planet Zoo: Conservation Pack focuses on conservation and sustainability. This DLC pack includes 5 new endangered species to add to your zoo: Przewalski’s horse, amur leopard, scimitar-horned oryx, siamang, and axolotl.

There are also over 150 new pieces of scenery, many of which represent safe and eco-friendly ways to decorate your park and teach the public about conservation. There is also a new challenge map where you are tasked with running the Turtlerock Wildlife Orphanage.

Inspired by the real-life Gorkhi Terelj National Park in Mongolia, your goal is less about making a profit, and more about educating the public about conservation, and the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of rare wildlife.

You can find a launch trailer below:

The DLC pack is accompanied by the free 1.10 update. The update adds a wide range of new animal behaviors, conservation stations that teach guests about wildlife preservation, loads of new scenery and concession stand options, new enrichment activities for animals, and more.

5 ENDANGERED ANIMALS

Rehouse five at-risk species from around the world: Przewalski’s horse, amur leopard, scimitar-horned oryx, siamang, and axolotl. All under threat, conservation organisations are currently working on helping these amazing animals recover from climate change, poaching, and habitat degradation.

Look out for brand new behaviours. Siamangs can gather and perform new chorus calls, and use their long limbs to nimbly swing from metal climbing frames. Your guests will go wild for these playful gibbons!

150+ SCENERY PIECES

Set your zoo up for a sustainable future with a range of eco-friendly scenery and vibrant foliage. Place sweeping meadows, swaying sunflowers, fruiting fig trees and elegant Korean pine, and pick an array of ecologically clean buildings, from responsibly sourced wooden sheds to recycled glass outhouses. Add extra authenticity and celebrate the inner working of your zoos with realistic behind-the-scenes props such as garden forks, wheelbarrows, water hoses and brooms.

A NEW SCENARIO

Turtlerock Wildlife Orphanage needs your help. Based on the stunning Gorkhi Terelj National Park in Mongolia, profit is an afterthought as you primarily aim to rescue, raise, document and release as many species as possible. Power your zoo using renewable energy, foster plant diversity, and teach your visitors the importance of sustainability. Are you up to the task?
