Capcom have announced a sale for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, to celebrate the series 20th anniversary.

The series launched in 2001, focused on then fledgling defense attorney Phoenix Wright. Players are tasked with investigating crime scenes, and pushing the witness for details in court. When contradictions arise, present the evidence that proves them wrong; all to prove your client innocent.

The series is beloved for its wacky characters, mixed with some surprisingly challenging puzzles and dramatic story lines. While the games take place in Japan, the games continue to be localized in the west as being set in California.

As part of the 20th anniversary celebrations in Japan; there will be merchandise, a special corner at the Capcom Vs. Osamu Tezuka Characters exhibit in Ikebukuro’s PARCO FACTORY, and an Ace Attorney themed Capcom Cafe pop-up.

Sales will also be global. While Japan sees discounts on the entire mainline series, the western Steam, Nintendo, and PlayStation stores will see discounts on Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy- ranging from 33% to 34% off (offers end October 18th on Steam, 21st on PlayStation 4, and unspecified on Nintendo Switch). The sale does not seem to be in place on the Microsoft store for Xbox One however.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is available on Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.

The latest game in the series is The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. As previously reportedThe Great Ace Attorney: Adventures and The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve originally launched only in Japan on Nintendo 3DS, showing the adventures of Phoenix Wright’s ancestor; Ryunosuke Naruhodo.

The game is set in Meji era Japan (or Nippon as it was known), when the western world first began to influence the nation; along with their legal system. His adventures take him beyond Nippon, traveling to England and meeting eccentric detective Herlock Sholmes.

While not part of the sale, GamersGate is currently selling the game for 16% off. We have reached out for details on when that sale ends.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is available on Windows PC (via GamersGate, and Steam), Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. In case you missed it, you can find our review here (we recommend it!)
