Here’s a rundown on the game:

Persona 5: The Phantom X is a completely new smartphone game based on the worldview and basic setting of “Persona 5”. The game will feature an original story set in Tokyo with a new group of phantom thieves. Perfect World, the developer and operator of the game, has faithfully followed the style and basic gameplay of the original IP, further brushed up the 3D visual expression, and optimized the UX and play tempo for smartphone users. This is one of the most anticipated high-quality and marketing-competitive contents.

Persona 5: The Phantom X will be developed, distributed, and operated by Perfect World under the supervision of SEGA and Atlus’ Persona Studios, and will be based on the worldview setting of “Persona 5,” while adapting to local user preferences, trends, and playing environments. Perfect World is headquartered in Beijing, China.

This collaboration with Perfect World, which has extensive knowledge of mobile game development in the Asian market, including mainland China, will allow more people to enjoy the “Persona 5” IP, which can be a highly appealing content in the Asian region, and aims to further expand the IP. SEGA aims to further expand the IP by enabling more people to enjoy the “Persona 5” IP, which can be a highly appealing content in Asia.

SEGA is actively developing its own IP and domestic content overseas through its development studios in Japan, providing its own home video games through leading overseas partners, distributing content on PC game platforms, and collaborating with partner companies using its own IP to develop mobile games that match the tastes and market environment of users in each region. The company is also working to develop mobile games in line with the tastes and market environment of users in each region by collaborating with partner companies using its own IP. This initiative is part of the company’s efforts to deliver domestically produced content, including its own IP, to as many people as possible around the world.
