Pearl Abyss will reveal details about their upcoming title Crimson Desert, as well as new content for Black Desert Online at Gamescom 2023.

Crimson Desert, a new, immersive, open-world action-adventure game, is set to make a splash at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live (ONL) on August 22nd. This unveiling will feature new gameplay footage, offering attendees a brand-new look at Pearl Abyss’ highly anticipated title.

Utilising its cutting-edge proprietary BlackSpace Engine, Pearl Abyss has harnessed the power of advanced technology to craft the next-generation gaming experience. This iconic title will introduce players to an unparalleled style of gameplay, boasting intricate graphics and exhilarating, high-octane action.

A highlight of the event is the collaboration between Pearl Abyss and Samsung Electronics, bringing Black Desert Online’s acclaimed expansion, ‘Land of the Morning Light’ to Gamescom attendees. Set in Hall 9, Booth A030/A044, this partnership will showcase the ultimate gaming experience, allowing players to indulge in the visually stunning world of Black Desert Online. Attendees can anticipate interacting with community representatives, engaging with cosplayers, and partaking in giveaways with a chance to win coveted prizes. Last but not least, Pearl Abyss will be part of Samsung’s keynote which will be livestreamed through the Samsung Odyssey Twitch channel from 09:30 CEST on Wednesday, August 23rd.

Initially starting off as a prequel to Black Desert Online, Crimson Desert quickly grew in scope, becoming its own standalone IP.

Crimson Desert is releasing at some point for PC and consoles. Black Desert Online is available on Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
