Cloth is an indispensable resource in Palworld‘s early game, and here’s how you can get it.
Players require Cloth early on for a multitude of reasons, including to make outfits and the parachute glider, making this resource somewhat tied to your ability to explore the world.
Cloth can be a little difficult to acquire in large quantities, but with the correct setup, you can get plenty of it.
Cloth can be crafted by using wool, which is acquired from the Lamball pals in two ways. The first way of acquiring wool from a Lamball is to knock it out, which isn’t advised as it doesn’t give enough to be worth the grind.
It’s also not advised to knock out Lamballs because an early quest requires you to catch five of them for an experience boost, so it’s best to capture them for the early start.
The most time-efficient way of acquiring wool, which is crafted into cloth, is to build a ranch and add a Lamball to your base. The Lamball will naturally move around the ranch and shed its wool, giving you more than enough to make the items that require cloth.
The sweet spot seems to be two Lamballs in a ranch, as they’ll give you enough wool to craft the gliders and outfits, as well as to keep them repaired.
In time, you will find yourself with a surplus of wool, so it’s recommended to downsize to one Lamball and have another Pal that benefits from being in a ranch, like Caprity, replacing the second one.
At the end of the day, you are the one in charge of your base, so adapt as you see fit depending on what materials you need.
Palworld was just released on January 19th, for Windows PC (via Steam and the Microsoft Store), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The game is also on Xbox Game Pass.
