Publisher Prime Matter and developer Nine Dots have announced Outward: Definitive Edition for PC and consoles.

Outward: Definitive Edition is launching sometime in May 2022 for Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. As the name implies, the new re-release includes the base game and its two DLC expansions: The Three Brothers and The Soroboreans. If you own the original game and  both DLCs on any platform you’ll be able to upgrade for free.

As this is an enhanced re-release, the new Definitive Edition also brings with it “numerous” quality of life updates, balancing tweaks, and even new content. The new content entails some new unique encounters in dungeons, new defeat scenarios, and some new diseases, too. Quality of life updates include accessing your stash while in a friend’s world, less finicky enchanting, totem workshops in every region, more accessible crafting, as well as making the world of the game feel more cohesive.

Outward delivers an immersive RPG experience coupled with survival gameplay, offering a deeply-rewarding challenge for the most avid gamers.
