It’s been known for awhile that Unity 3D has a mascot in Japan, and like most things the Japanese create their own versions of, she had to be made into a spunky, cute, anime girl, officially named Unity-chan. This, followed by the next corporation to get the anime girl makeover, adds more credence to the argument that everything deserves an anime equivalent.
Not content with a plain old logo, Oculus CEO Palmer Luckey cracked a joke at the Unite Japan 2014 event, saying that Oculus needed their very own Oculus-chan. Naturally, the internet did not disappoint, and you can see some examples here both above and in the thumbnail of this article.
If you want to see more of the submissions to make an Oculus-chan, head on over to this list that Japanese developer Kenji Iguchi took the time to compile together. Some of the submissions are pretty awesome, and some are downright strange (like the one in the thumbnail), featuring the Oculus as a bra of some sort.
