Nintendo Switch Control Scheme Discovered in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Warehouse Demo

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2

Data of Nintendo Switch control schemes in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 have been discovered, suggesting the game is coming to Nintendo Switch.

After the release of the Warehouse demo for pre-order customers, data for control scheme interfaces for the Nintendo Switch Joycons (in docked mode and with the Joy-Con grips) and the Pro Controller have been discovered [1, 2, 3].

As Video Games Chronicles reports, while the Pro Controller can be used on Steam, the inclusion of the other assets suggest that the game will be coming to Nintendo Switch. However, there is a slim chance that this is left-over data, and a Nintendo Switch version was cancelled.

We will keep you informed as we learn more.

Nintendo have been hemorrhaging leaks in recent months after the cancellation of E3 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Though this case obviously is not their fault.

We previously reported on the rumors that to celebrate the Super Mario franchise’ 35th anniversary, there would be many new games and “high-definition remasters.”

These included remasters of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy. The rumor also claimed there would be a “deluxe” version of Super Mario 3D World, and a new Paper Mario. “Most of Mario’s back catalogue will be remastered for Switch,” sources claimed, along with “several other Mario titles in 2020.”

Later, we heard claims that Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy would be part of a “collection.” In addition, there were claims that the alleged new Paper Mario “represents a return to that franchise’s roots.”

A listing for Super Mario 3D World on Nintendo Switch appeared on Best Buy’s website, and Paper Mario: The Origami King was announced. While the game has turn-based RPG elements (unlike Super Paper Mario), there are other elements such as a puzzle-based battle system, and a focus on consumable special attacks and coins over experience points.

Twitter account seemingly dedicated to the Super Mario franchise’ 35th anniversary has also been discovered, lending credence to rumors about upcoming games. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on Nintendo Switch also appeared on online retailers twice.
