Well that didn’t take long – rumors were swirling that Nintendo’s upcoming codenamed NX console would be using an Android-based operating system. Naturally, this had a lot of Nintendo fans upset, as they felt this was a cheap or troubling way to develop a new piece of hardware.
Now, we’ve learned that the new console will not be using Android as a base for its operating system. “There is no truth to the report saying that we are planning to adopt Android for NX,” a Nintendo spokesman said to Wall Street Journal.
