Nintendo relaunches their online store

Not long after announcing they’re shutting down the Wii U and 3DS digital stores, we’ve learned Nintendo relaunches their online store as My Nintendo Store, complete with new physical rewards.

While the news that Nintendo relaunches their online store will be certainly good news for some, the company is also shutting down their Wii U and 3DS digital eShop stores, and they’ve also confirmed no plans to offer classic games outside Nintendo Switch Online.

The new My Nintendo Store is now available in both the United States and Canada, and it replaces the old site that allowed you to only buy digital games and redeem physical and digital rewards for aforementioned perks and physical rewards.

Big additions to the new My Nintendo Store are the ability to purchase physical games and Nintendo Switch consoles, as well as standalone pairs of Joy-Con controllers. It’s worth pointing out that if you buy physical games from the new store, you’ll still have to redeem them afterwards for points and rewards. There’s also the new option to buy Nintendo merch separately, without rewards points.
