The perks for Nicolas Cage in his upcoming Dead by Daylight DLC have been released on the PTB and they’re… weird.
They’re weird in a fun way though, they all have a random effect or allow players to do unusual things with some form of benefit.
Dramaturgy
The new “Exhaustion” perk. Dramaturgy can be activated for a 25% Haste buff for 2 seconds and can produce one of four random effects.
- Extend the Haste buff for 2 seconds
- Become Exposed for 12 seconds
- Scream
- Receive a random item with random add-ons
With Dead Hard being boring and nerfed into the ground (and somehow still being meta) Dramaturgy looks like a fun exhaustion perk to shake things up.
Scene Partner
Kind of a controlled Object of Obsession.
Scene Partner activates when you’re in the Killer’s Terror Radius, when you look at the Killer you’ll scream but then you can see the Killer’s aura for a few seconds.
This aura reading benefit will give you an edge at the start of a chase and the scream is negligible if you’ve already been spotted.
Plot Twist
Once per match (and again after the Exit Gates are powered), you can willingly enter the Dying state from the Injured state.
While on the ground you don’t make grunts of pain or create pools of blood. Also you can recover from the Dying state and when you do, you’ll be Healthy instead of Injured. You also get a 50% Haste buff for a few seconds after standing.
This is an unusual perk that allows you to crawl (which is kind of stealthy?) and also fake out killers by immediately getting up in the Healthy state.
