We discussed our upcoming Media Partners program, President Trump’s executive order that almost banned Tencent in the US, and the hackers behind the Twitter celebrity Bitcoin scam being arrested- including the 17 year old “mastermind.”
We then moved onto virtual YouTubers suffering DMCA claims and community subtitles being retired, the return of G4, the Intellivision Amico Special Event, and how companies react to perceptions and outrage.
We also talked about Ghost of Tsushima, along with the game’s successes, and high praise from Yakuza general director Toshihiro Nagoshi’s high praise. We also touched on the day one censorship patch on Fairy Tail, localization, and the Analogue Pocket.
Finally, we discussed Paper Mario: The Origami King, and comments made by the developers. Producer Kensuke Tanabe stated “it’s no longer possible to modify Mario characters or to create original characters that touch on the Mario universe” for Paper Mario games; later explaining “it has become that much more important to convey their personalities simply through text.”
