Today’s Spotlight is One Step From Eden, a deckbuilding action-roguelite by Thomas Moon Kang, Humble Bundle, and Maple Whispering Limited.


Inspired by the Mega Man Battle Network series, One Step From Eden tasks players with reaching Eden by fighting through a series of procedurally generated encounters.

The game features nine playable characters, hundreds of cards, and over one hundred items that can further modify your playstyle. There are also branching paths depending on who you execute, and who you decide to show mercy.

One Step From Eden includes full Steam Workshop integration for extra replayability, and players can take along a co-op partner. You can find the launch trailer below.

One Step From Eden is available on Windows PC, Linux, Mac (all via Steam), and Nintendo Switch for $19.99.

THE GAME
Eden is the last shining beacon of hope in a bleak post-war world.

One Step from Eden combines strategic deck-building and real-time action with rogue-like elements, giving you the chance to carve a path of mercy or destruction. Fight alone or with a friend in co-op as you cast powerful spells on the fly, battle evolving enemies, and collect game-changing artifacts. Can you make it to Eden or will your destruction be imminent?
