Amazon Games’ recently launched colonial-themed MMORPG New World tops 700K concurrent players, an impressive milestone for the heavily delayed game.

The news that New World tops 700K concurrent players comes alongside mixed reports of users being unable to enter crowded servers, to which Amazon Games’ has started allowing players to transfer between servers for free until server congestion is mitigated.

“We understand that some players are experiencing lengthy queue times and we are working hard on a few things to help address these issues,” the developer said in a new update.

They added, “We are continuing to stand up additional servers and will expand the capacity of our existing servers once we have properly tested these changes.”

At the time of writing, New World is sitting comfortably at 717,000 concurrent users logged into the game, and user reviews are already flooding in. The current average is 46% of user reviews are positive, and our own thorough review will be coming shortly.
