2019 is a special year because it’s the 20th anniversary of the Sega Dreamcast. As such, a multitude of creators from the Dreamcast era have been appearing in interviews and such to recap their memories working on the beloved yet final Sega home console.
Archipel, the same folks behind the informative and fun toco toco video series, got a chance to sit down with eight of the most influential developers and creators to have worked on the console.

The Sega Dreamcast was released back on November 27th, 1998 in Japan, on September 9th, 1999 in North America, and on October 14th, 1999 in Europe.
Despite its positive reception by fans, it didn’t keep up with Sony’s PlayStation 2, Nintendo’s GameCube, or Microsoft’s Xbox. It was later discontinued on March 31st, 2001, marking the end of Sega’s home console hardware division.
