A new season of the children’s anime Butt Detective (Oshiri Tantei) will premiere next year as part of the Spring 2022 anime season.
Oshiri Tantei is a children’s series that follows the adventures of the titular Butt Detective, a young man with a butt for a head who solves mysteries and fights crime. The series initially began as a children’s book series in 2012 by creator Tororu. An anime series based on the books was released in 2018, and has currently received four seasons.

A film announced earlier this year is expected to premiere around the same time, along with a video game on November 4th in Japan on Nintendo Switch.
